Tract Ministry

Tract Ministry

What is a tract ministry?

At Make It Clear Ministries, we believe that tracts are a very important ministry tool. We believe that "passing out tracts" or "dropping tracts" should not be a substitute for witnessing, but that it still a very important part of sharing the Gospel in the 21 st Century.

A tract ministry is one of the best ways to lead other people to Jesus Christ as their savior. A gospel is tract is a pamphlet or leaflet with a short, simple presentation of the gospel Jesus Christ. With a tract ministry, you give tracts to people for them to read. I believe that it is probably the easiest and most convenient way to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the other people. Especially if you don't have a personality where you like to talk to people a lot. Since it is printed, the tract can be taken home, re-read and studied at the persons convience. Tracts provide an easy way to "break the ice" or "open the door" to witness. Especially if you have one of the illusion tracts or something else that will get their attention. There is no certain amount of time required to have a tract ministry. Just whenever the opportunity arises while you are living your everyday life. Many people have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior by reading tracts that they have received.

Tips for having a Tract Ministry

  1. Make sure that the tract you are passing out is scripturally sound. It won't do any good to pass out a tract if it has works in its gospel or if the tract is hard to understand.
  2. Pray before you go out to pass out tracts. Pray that God will bless your efforts and that He will prepare the hearts of the people that are receiving the tracts. There is no substitute for prayer.
  3. Read each tract that you plan to give away and know it well enough to answer any questions about it if the reader should have any.
  4. Tracts can be passed out by anyone, regardless of age, sex, race, or education. I first started passing out gospel tracts when I was about ten years old. I lived next to a retired pastor that believed in passing out tracts and he gave me many to pass out. My two sons were passing out tracts before that.
  5. Tracts can be left anywhere or shared with anyone. You can leave them at Shopping malls, in a doctors wating room, and just about any place you can imagine. Place tracts on benches or other places that people are likely to sit for a while. Leave tracts in places like bus stations, airports, subways, or any other places that people will spend a great deal of time. (Many people will pick up a tract and read literature that they find if they are bored)
Take plenty of tracts with you to amusement parks. Theme Parks/Amusement Parks are an open mission field. And the neat thing about places like this is you can sometimes get a glimpse of someone discovering one of your tracts if you place them in line as you are walking. (Simply set a tract on an object that is high enough for people to see, but low enough for you to place it without being noticed... I have watched many people pick up tracts behind me in these lines.)
  6. Remember that when you are passing out tracts to people, you are representing God to the lost. Make sure to be pleasant and polite. You don't want to offend a person and have them reject Jesus Christ because of something you have said or done to them. A genuine smile is a necessissity. It can create an opening for giving out a tract. With love in your heart and a smile on your face, ask kindly, "May I leave you something to read when you get a chance" If a person refuses it, remain pleasant. There are many people who are interested in God and spiritual things out there.
  7. Use the appropriate tract for the occation. Always have a variety of tracts with you and be prepared to use them. There are tracts that are written to be given away for just about any occation that you want. There are Christmas tracts, Halloween tracts, New Year tracts, tracts that just give a good gospel that you can use any time of the year, Thank you tracts which are good for tips or to give to someone that has helped you out in a bad situation, tracts that are used to get a persons attention and then give them the gospel, and many other tracts.
  8. Look for opportunities to use tracts to share the gospel with others. Take advantage of every situation that comes along. Try to think of new ways that you can give someone a tract. 50 years ago, you could walk up to any person on the street and start a conversation without anyone thinking twice about it. Today, it is much more difficult for many different reasons, but most people will still let you give them something to read if you ask them nicely.
  9. If you have a chance to, talk to the people who receive the tracts. You may be a person that likes to talk to people. If so, see if you can talk to them about God. If you are not a talker, don't worry about it. Give them the tract and pray that God uses it for His glory. Tracts eliminate the problem of forgeting what to say to the person.
Give tracts away to friends or coworkers. In this case, it would be good to "follow up" or ask them what they thought of the tract. This may give you an opportunity to present the Gospel to them or give you a chance to explain things if they did not understand the tract.
  10. Keep giving out tracts and don't get discouraged. With a tract ministry you may never know how many people have been infuenced by it to accept Christ as their Saviour. Leave it in Gods hands. All we can do is to sow the seeds. The rest is in Gods hands, not yours.
  11. Tracts are inexpensive. Tracts can be handed out plentifully and persistently. "He who soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully." 2 Corinthians 9:6.
  12. Think of every tract as a seed containing God's word to help every person in the world become a Christian. Who knows, you may lead the next Billy Grahmn or D.L. Moody to the Lord.
  13. Remember that tracts can be passed along from one person to another after they have read it, and can therefore be used over and over again.
  14. Leave your tip inside of a tract when you go out to eat. (Please make sure it is a decent tip. If you give someone a poor tip, they are probably not going to read the tract)
  15. If you are "dropping" a dollar bill tract, don't stand too close to it. Make sure to get far enough away that people will not ask you if the money is yours. (Or in the case of Brother Hugh, come chasing you down the hallway of your hotel yelling... "Sir, You Dropped Your Money!"... This story had a happy ending as the man loved the tract and wanted some to give away as well)
  16. Teach others to pass out tracts. This way you can multiply the amount of tracts that are being given out for people to read.

Below are tracts that Make it Clear Ministries has to offer to help people with tract ministries. At this time we offer these tracts at 10 cents each with a minimum order of 25. This includes shipping and handeling. Most Bible book stores charge at least 20 cents or more for the tracts that they sell. We are not making any money on the sale of these tracts. We pretty much breakeven for the cost of the tracts when we ship them. We don't want to get rich selling tracts. We just want to get them out there for people to use to spread the gospel of Christ to others. This does help us to be able to recover some of the cost of the tracts so that we can print more tracts and write new tracts to spread the gospel. If God puts it on your heart to add a donation with your order, please feel free to do so. All of our tracts have a place on the back of them for churches, organizations, or people to put contact information on it with the exception of our $10 gospel tracts.

If you would like to order any of our tracts, click on this link to e-mail us with the information. We will ship the tracts as soon as we receive payment or if you are sending a check we will wait until your check clears. You can pay for the tracts using paypal if you would like to. Just go to our donation page and click on the donation button which will take you directly to paypal to make the payment. In the comment section, tell us how many tracts you want and what kind of tracts you would like for us to send to you. We will send the tracts to you when we receive payment from paypal.

HEAVEN... WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO THERE WHEN YOU DIE? What better way is there to get someone to think about where they are going for eternity than to hand them a tract like this?

Heaven is the perfect tract to hand to someone you have just met and may never see again. This is one of the best tracts I have found dealing with the subject of Salvation. It is short and it tells the message of salvation well. This tract is Not Only Scripturally Sound, but it also includes a "Sinner’s Prayer" just in case the person who is given this tract wants to pray to accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour, but doesn’t quite know how.

This tract is perfect for Churches or other organizations. There is plenty of room on the back of the tract for your church or organization’s stamp to let people know your name, address, service times, or whatever information you choose to share.

The Scriptural quotations are written in red while the rest of the tract is written in blue.

Did you know the Bible teaches that you can know you’re going the Heaven when you die? It’s true, God loves you;. He is concerned about your life and your eternal well-being. God loves us but He hates our sin because it separates us from Him. The Bible says,

"All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

You see, Heaven is a perfect place, so in order to get there you must be perfect. (Revelation 21:27) God knew that we could never be perfect to get into Heaven so He sent His son, Jesus Christ to pay for our sins by dying in our place. God tells us,

"The wages (what you earn) of sin is death (separation from God in Hell for eternity) but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

Religions teach us that in order to get to Heaven you must work your way. If your good deeds outweigh your bad deeds, and if you do certain things, then God will let you into Heaven. But the Bible says,

"Not by works of righteousness which I have done, but according to His mercy He saved us." (Titus 3:5)

God said that if you believe that Jesus came to earth, lived a perfect life, died on the cross to pay for all of your sins, that you have eternal life, but if you reject Christ you face an eternity in Hell. The Greek word for believe means to put your trust in, to rely upon or to depend upon.

"He that believeth on the son hath (right now) everlasting life; and he that believeth not the son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him." (John 3:36)

Won’t you please accept Him as your saviour, then you can know that you ‘re going to Heaven.

"These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life." (I John 5:13)

Here is a sample prayer for you to accept Jesus as your Saviour.

Dear Lord,
I know I am a sinner, and that there is no way that I can get myslef into heaven. I know that Jesus died on the cross for my sins, and I am accepting the payment that He made for me. Please forgive me of my sins and allow me to live with you in Heaven someday. God, I thank you for forgiving me of my sins. Please help me to serve you in my daily life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

These $10 bill Tracts are made to look as realistic as possible. This is not real money, but a Gospel Tract made to look like real money.

If you like to pass out tracts, but get discouraged that you cannot give one to everyone, try some of these. I like to leave these right next to the bench I just sat on in the mall, at phone booths, movie theaters, THEME PARKS, and other public places where there will more than likely be a large number of people. (Please never leave this as a tip or with a tip...We don’t want to offend someone who is not a Christian. Also, if you are giving one to a pastor or a missionary or someone like that, Please make sure to show them the written side before you show them the money part. We don’t like to disappoint pastors, missionaries, or waiters/waitresses. )

All you have to do is drop or place this tract in a place in a public place where someone is likely to find it... but be sure not to stay near it for too long, or you’ll end up like Brother Hugh, who had someone chase him down the hallway of his hotel yelling... "Sir, You Dropped Your Money!!!" (It’s nice that there are honest people in this world) This guy loved the tract so much that he wanted one for each of his friends.

This tract is perfect for:

  1. Youth Groups going on missions trips(to drop in the airport, hotel lobby and hallways, and even the restaurants you eat in.)
  2. Anyone who goes to the mall or out to eat. (Please remember not to put this particular tract with the tip)
  3. Families on Vacation (to drop at any THEME PARK, roadside attractions, restaurants, hotels and anywhere else you stop along the way.)
  4. Businessmen/Businesswomen(to leave here or there on the way to the office, in cabs, in subways, in train stations, in elevators at work, or even at the coffee shop.)

This tract is made to look like one of the $10 bills that started circulation in the 90's. This particular batch of tracts actually have the picture that is on the back of a $5 dollar bill (the printer that worked on this batch printed them like that, but we want to make the next batch as realistic as legally possible... which includes a picture of the Treasury instead of the White House)

This Tract has a 1 inch band green strip across the picture with Make It Clear’s address and website on it. This is one of the reasons that this tract is legal.

On the reverse side is a Scripturally Sound presentation of the gospel. (Much like the Heaven: Would you like to go there when you die tract, only on this tract, we only show the references instead of the entire verse.) This Tract Also includes a sample "Sinner’s Prayer" This is just in case someone decides that what they do want to accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour and cannot seem to think of what to pray.

*This tract is great for people who think that they can "work" their way to Heaven or "be good enough" to get into Heaven.

The Tract Reads as follows...

Disappointed? Don’t be. You have just found something worth a lot more than money. There are some things that money can’t buy. One of them is a home in Heaven. In order to go to Heaven, there are a few things you need to know.
1 Everyone is a sinner. (Romans 3:10, 3:23, Isaiah 64:6
2 Heaven is a perfect place where no sin can enter. (Revelation 21:27)
3 Nothing we can do will help us earn eternal life. (Isaiah 64:6, Romans 4:5)
4 Jesus made a complete payment for our sins on the cross of Calvary and offers us His righteousness. (II Corinthians 5:21, Isaiah 53:6)
5 We all need to accept Jesus as our own personal Saviour. (John 3:36)
6 You can know that you have eternal life. I John 5:13)

Here is a Simple prayer you may want to pray.

Dear Lord, I know I am a sinner, and that I can never be good enough to get myself into Heaven. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and the best that I know how, I accept the payment that He made for me. Please help me to serve you in my daily life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

This optical Illusion is the perfect "ice-breaker" when you are trying to find a way to talk to someone about the Gospel. If you tip the tract forward, you can see John 3:36 is formed by the straight lines.

This tract is Scripturally sound. This tract uses several Bible verses to present the Gospel. It also has a Sinner’s Prayer on the back, just in case someone you give it to wishes to pray to accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour, but can’t quite find the words.

Here are some suggestions for this tract:

  1. Give it to someone you have just met as a conversation piece
  2. Give it to friends or family members who do not usually like to hear about the Gospel
  3. Give it to co-workers. Tell them it is a novelty you found and thought they might enjoy.
  4. Leave it on a park bench or restaurant table for someone to find
  5. Leave it with your tip when you eat at a restaurant. (Please leave a decent/good tip please)
  6. If your church allows you to place tracts in the "tract rack," you could place some there for others to use.
  7. You could give a sample to your pastor and see if he has use for more.
The inside and back of this tract read as follows:

There are many things we can’t see such as the wind, the human mind, love, hate, and sin. You can’t see them, but they are there and you know they are real. We can see their effects in the world. Belief in God is similar. We can’t see Him because He is a spirit, but we can see his power and results.

The man who searched the heavens with a telescope and complained that he couldn’t see God wouldn’t be able to see a mind if he searched the brain with a microscope. Many people say that they won’t believe in God because they can’t see Him or talk to Him. Yet, there are other people that not only believe in Him, but they have a personal relationship with Him and they know that they will live with God in heaven for all eternity.

There are many religions in the world, but there is only one way to have a relationship with God. It is found in the Bible. Just like the optical illusion on the cover, the truth is there if you can see it. When you first look at it, it looks like just a bunch of lines going in every direction without any rhyme or reason. But it’s the best news in the world.

"He that hath the Son hath life, He that hath not the son shall not see life..." John 3:36

Either you see it or you don’t. But either way, remember this. God loves you and wants to have you come to live with Him in Heaven, but there is a problem. It’s called sin. A sin can be something you do, something that you don’t do but you should, or it can be thoughts that you shouldn’t be having. The Bible tells us that everyone sins (Romans 3:23). This presents a problem since Heaven is a perfect place and God will not allow a single sin into Heaven (Revelation 21:27). God can’t let sin into Heaven or there would be sickness and death there just like there is here on earth. Our sins have to be paid for in order for us to be able to get into Heaven. So what can we do about it? We can’t do anything since no amount of good works that we try to do would make up for the sin in our lives. The Bible tells us that our very best that we can offer God are like filthy rags in His sight. (Isaiah 64:6)

But God had a plan. He put on human flesh in the form of Jesus Christ. He lived a perfect sinless life so he didn’t have the sin problem that we have. Then He died on the cross to make the payment for our sins (I Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus rose from the dead to prove that He actually paid for our sins. If one single sin had not been paid for, Jesus could not have raised Himself from the dead (Romans 4:25). The Bible says that if you believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as your Saviour that you can have everlasting life. The Greek word for believe means to put your trust in, to rely upon, or to depend upon. Put your trust in Him and accept payment that he made on the cross for you.

The Bible tells us that when we accept the payment that Jesus made for us and accept Him as our Saviour that we become children of God. God will be your father and you will be His child (John 1:12). As your Father, He will watch over you and your life. If you will listen to Him, He will guide and teach you what you need to know. When you do things wrong, He will punish you just like any good parent would do. But the great thing about God is that He will always love you and your punishment will never be Hell.

Friend, don’t put off your salvation. The Bible tells us that today is the day to take care of eternity. It tells us that now is the time to do it (I Corinthians 6:2). You have no guarantee that you will live to see tomorrow.

Here is a sample prayer for you to accept Jesus as your Saviour:

Dear Lord,

I know that I am a sinner, and that there is no way that I can get myself into Heaven. I know that Jesus died on the cross for my sins, and I am accepting the payment that Have made for me. Please forgive me of my sins and allow me to live with you in Heaven someday. God I thank you for forgiving me. Please help me to serve you in my daily life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

Thank you tract

Description Thank You Tracts! When someone has done something nice for you, what better way is there to thank them than to give them the gospel. This tract is written with special so that you can make sure that people who have been nice to you will be able to read a clear Gospel presentation even if you are in a hurry. (i.e. at the airport or in a hotel)

It was written so that anyone who picks it up can read it and come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. It is perfect for churches who go anywhere as a group together. (i.e. on missions trips or even if a group at the church goes out to eat once a month, this can be left with the tip)

This tract is meant to tell people that you really appreeciate their work.

Another favorite feature on this tract is that it has plenty of room for a church stamp on the back. Most every church can fit their name, address, phone number, Pastor's Name(s), and times of service with no problem on the back of this tract.

(Please remember to leave a tip with this tract whenever it is appropriate)

  1. Leave this tract on the table for your waitress when the meal is finished.
  2. Give this tract to the repairman when he finishes a job for you.
  3. Give this tract to the "Pizza Guy" when he brings your pizza.
  4. Leave this tract in your hotel for the maid.
  5. Give this tract to a bellhop at a hotel or a "sky cap" at the airport
  6. Give this tract to the person behind the counter when you pick up your dry cleaning
  7. Give this tract to the cab driver along with your money
  8. Give this tract to the person at the drive-thru window
  9. Leave it with your tip when you eat at a restaurant. (Please leave a decent/good tip please)
  10. If you like this tract, or any other tract, you could give a copy to your pastor and see if he wishes to order more for himself/the church.
  11. If you have a church allows you to put tracts into the tract rack, you could place a few there for others in your church to use.
The inside and back of this tract read as follows: Outside of tract Thank you! You have performed a service for me and I wish to thank you. The best way I can think of is to tell you about the best news in the world. It has changed my life and I hope and pray that it will change your life as well! The news I wish to share is how you can KNOW for sure that you are going to Heaven when you die. Inside of the tract You may be surprised to find out that you don't have to go through this life wondering if things will work out and you will go to Heaven... or if you will mess things up and spend eternity in Hell. I am not talking about religion. I am talking about having a relationship with the God that created the Heavens and the earth. God is the creator of all things and people, but He is only the Father of those who accept His way to Heaven. Getting into Heaven is not as complicated as some people think it is. If you want to go to Heaven then you must first realize a few things. The first thing you must understand is that every person is a sinner. We all need to be saved from our sins. The Bible tells us "There is none righteous, no not one." (Romans 3:10) This presents a problem for us because Romans 6:23 tells us that "the wages of sin is death." Wages are what you earn. When you have a job, you earn so much an hour or so much per job. Your company gives you a paycheck with the amount you have earned for the job you have performed. The wage that you earn for committing any sin is death. Not only does a person die a physical death, but if nothing is done about your sin, you will spend eternity in Hell; separated from God and everything that you love. This is known as spiritual death. Spiritual death is much worse than physical death because it goes on forever. This is something that God does not want for us, so He made a way for us to be forgiven. God came to earth in the form of Jesus Christ and lived a perfect sinless life. Because of this perfect life, He was able to take the punishment for our sins. He did this by dying on the cross to pay for all of our sins. If you will accept the payment that Jesus made on the cross, you can go to Heaven when you die. God tells us in Ephesians 2:8,9 "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: It is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Verse 8 tells us that we are saved by God's grace. Grace is getting something that we don't deserve. No one deserves Heaven, we all deserve Hell. We are saved through faith in Jesus and the payment that He made on the cross for ours sins. We are NEVER saved by anything that we can do ourselves (works). This is the GIFT of God if we will accept it from Him. A gift is something that someone gives to us. When you have a birthday you receive gifts from people. You don't pay or work for them. If you did they wouldn't be gifts. You simply have to accept the gift for it to be yours. No amount of good works that you could do can help you to get into Heaven. Verse 9 tells us that if you could do something to help yourself to get into Heaven, that you would be able to boast about it. 1 John 5:13 tells us "These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God; that you may KNOW that you have eternal life..." The word for believe in the original greek means to put your trust in, to rely upon, or to depend upon. When you accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour and the payment that He made on the cross for your sins, you are depending on Him to take you to Heaven, not yourself... Then, God gives you eternal life. Back of the tract Here is a sample prayer for you to accept Jesus as your Saviour. Dear Lord, I know I am a sinner, and that I can never be good enough to get myself into Heaven. I know that Jesus Died on the cross for my sins, and the best I know how, I am accepting the payment that He made for me. Please forgive me of my sins and allow me to live with you in Heaven someday. God, I thank you for forgiving me. Please help me to serve you in my daily life.
