• Easter Tract
This Easter tract has been written in such a way that it will be good for Easter and also for the rest of the year. I tried to word it so that it wouldn't be restricted to that one holiday like our other holiday tracts.

This tract is Scripturally sound. This tract uses several Bible verses to present the Gospel. It also has a Sinners Prayer on the back, just in case someone you give it to wishes to pray to accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour, but cant quite find the words. It also has a QR code that will take a person to a special salvation page on our website that will go into more detail and hopefully answer any questions they may also have about being able to go to Heaven.

Here are some suggestions for this tract:

  1. Put one in when you mail off a bill payment.
  2. Give it to someone you have just met but dont have time to talk to.
  3. Leave it on a park bench or restaurant table for someone to find
  4. Leave it with your tip when you eat at a restaurant. (Please leave a decent/good tip please)
  5. If your church allows you to place tracts in the "tract rack," you could place some there for others to use.
  6. You could give a sample to your pastor and see if he has use for more.
The inside and back of this tract read as follows:

He is not here: for He is risen... Matthew 28:6

Inside of tract

You hear people say that Jesus died on the cross to pay for your sins. Does this really matter to you? Should it? How does Jesus dying over 2,000 years ago affect your life today? The Bible tells us that when we are born in this world we are born with a sinful nature (Psalms 58:3). We all do things that are wrong which the Bible calls sin. Because of sin in our lives, we can not go to Heaven when we die. These sins need to be paid for in order for us to go to Heaven. Now the question is, "how can our sins be paid for?" Some people think that if they do enough good works or if they are very sincere in their beliefs that God will overlook the bad things they have done and let them in to Heaven; but the Bible tells us in Titus 3:5 "Not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to His mercy He saved us..."

How did He save us? God came to this earth in the form of Jesus Christ. He lived a sinless life while on this earth. Because He had no sin of His own He was able to die in our place. And the great part about it is that He didn't demand that we get our act together first before He would accept us but said to come to Him just as we are.
Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus made a complete payment for our sins on the cross of Calvary and offers us His righteousness. (II Corinthians 5:21, Isaiah 53:6)

As He took His last breath, He said one Greek word (tetelestai), which we translate to the English phrase "It is finished". In Jesus' time it was the practice to write this word on a debt that had been paid. He was saying that our sins were paid in full. He lay in the tomb for 3 days and 3 nights. Then He rose from the dead to prove that our sins were paid for. If there was a single sin in the world that wasn't paid for by Christ, He would not have been able to rise from the dead. One sin is all it takes to send a person to Hell and one sin could have kept Jesus in the grave if it had not been paid for. Jesus was seen alive at least 10 different times after He rose from the dead, not by strangers who thought they saw someone that looked like Jesus; but by His apostles, His closest friends and His own family. These were the people that knew Him very well. They were so convinced that Jesus rose from the dead that they were willing to die for Him.

Your sins have been paid for by Jesus. God offers you eternal life if you will just accept the payment that Jesus made in your place and apply it to your life. If you will take what Jesus has done for you and accept it, then you can go to Heaven when you die.

Here is a prayer that you can say to ask God to forgive you of your sins.

Dear God, I know I am a sinner, and that there is no way that I can get myself into Heaven. I know that Jesus died on the cross for my sins, and I am accepting the payment that He made on the cross for me. Please forgive me of my sins and allow me to live with you in Heaven someday. God, I thank you for forgiving me of my sins. Please help me to serve you in my daily life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
