Prayer and Praise List

Welcome to the Make it Clear prayer list. If you would like to add a name to this prayer list, feel free to e-mail me and let me know so that I can add the person, group, or church to the list. If you would let me know when the prayer is answered, I would appreciate it. If you would like me to, you can tell me about the answer so that I can tell others how that God has worked in the lives of other Christians. Please tell others about this prayer list so that we can have many people praying for the prayer requests, and thank you for your prayers for this ministry.

We now have something to give to anyone that wants one. It is called a "Daily Pocket Prayer Reminder". You keep it in your pocket or purse. When you see it, it reminds you to stop and say a prayer. Simply e-mail us (please include your mailing address) and tell us that you would like us to send one to you at no charge.

We would appreciate it if you would also remember us in your prayers.

We also now have Pencils with Make It Clear's website available for anyone who wants one.

We now have a section below the praise list with tips on how to have a better prayer life.

    TIPS FOR PRAYING.

Many people have questions about how to pray. I will give you a few tips to help you out if you are one of the people that are not sure how to have an effective prayer life. I hope this helps you out.

  1. First of all, come to God as a humble person.
  2. Have a set time each day that you can pray. This helps you to pray each day. Some people pray late at night after everyone else has gone to bed. Some pray early in the morning before everyone gets up. Some will pray during the day when everyone else is at work and school. Whatever works for you. I used to drive about 45 minutes to work every day. That was perfect for me.
  3. When you pray, talk to God like you would anyone else. Think of how you talk to your parents or your best friend.
  4. Start out your prayer thanking God for something.
  5. Confess to God any sin in your life and ask God to help you to overcome that sin.
  6. If you are praying in public (At a church service or perhaps at a family gathering) don't use the prayer as a time of gossip.
  7. Don't forget to keep praying for something. Don't just mention it once to God and then forget it. However, don't pray for the same thing 5 or 10 times during the same prayer. The Bible talks about using vain reppetion in our prayers.
  8. Try to have a prayer partner. There is more power in prayer when two or more are gathered together to pray and agree in prayer.
  9. Don't forget to pray for other people and their needs. Your prayers aren't just about you and what you may want or need. You should also be about asking God to help others and take care of their needs.
  10. Remember that God may want to use you to answer prayers to help other people. Be willing to be used of God for His will.
  11. Always pray in Jesus name. We are praying to the Father in the name of the Son through the Holy Spirit.
