• July 4th Tract
July 4th

This tract is the perfect tract for the 4th of July holiday and Independence day events. It is short and to the point.

This tract is Scripturally sound. This tract uses several Bible verses to present the Gospel. It also has a Sinners Prayer on the back, just in case someone you give it to wishes to pray to accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour, but cant quite find the words.

Here are some suggestions for this tract:

  1. Put one in when you mail off a bill payment.
  2. Give it to someone you have just met but dont have time to talk to.
  3. Leave it on a park bench or restaurant table for someone to find
  4. Leave it with your tip when you eat at a restaurant. (Please leave a decent/good tip please)
  5. If your church allows you to place tracts in the "tract rack," you could place some there for others to use.
  6. You could give a sample to your pastor and see if he has use for more.
The inside and back of this tract read as follows:

Inside of tract

The 4th of July is a special day in America. On this date in 1776, our forefathers declared independence from England. For this reason, we set aside this day to remember the sacrifices they made to break the bondage that England held the colonies to.

Freedom didn't come easily for the colonies. Historians tell us that 25,000 patriots died in the fight for freedom. They gave their lives so that we could be free. We gained freedom from England and became a new country. As our forefathers freed us from England, God wants to free us from sin.

Just as it cost blood to free America from England, it took blood to free us from our sins. Jesus Christ made the greatest sacrifice of all. He gave His life so that we would no longer be under the bondage of sin. Why do we need to be free from sin? Because with sin in our lives, we would spend eternity in the torment of Hell, away from God and loved ones in Heaven (Matthew 25:46, Revelation 14:11 and Revelation 20:10).

You may say, "I've only sinned a little and my sins aren't that bad." However, it only takes one little white lie to keep you out of Heaven (Revelation 21:27). Sin separates you from God and the life He wants for you (Isaiah 59:2). Many people think that if they do their best that God will let them into Heaven. The Bible tells us that there is nothing that we can do to earn a place in Heaven. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Titus 3:5, Galatians 2:16, Isaiah 64:6, Romans 4:5).

God wants us to be with Him in Heaven so He made a way for us to be forgiven of our sins. He sent His Son Jesus Christ who lived a perfect, sinless life and died for our sins (John 3:16 ). The Bible tells us in Romans 5:8-9, " But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him."

We all need to accept the payment that Jesus Christ made for our sins so we can avoid the wrath of Hell and enjoy eternal life with God. John 3:36 tells us, "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." The Greek word here translated as "believeth" means to put your trust in, to rely upon or to depend upon. In other words, you are to trust in Jesus Christ and Him alone to take you to Heaven.

If you will receive Jesus as your own personal savior and allow God to apply His payment for your sins, the Bible tells us that you can KNOW that you have eternal life. You don't have to guess or hope you are going to Heaven. You can know it (1 John 5:10-13).

Back of tract

Here is a sample prayer that you may say to ask God to forgive you of your sins:

Dear God, I know I am a sinner, and that there is no way that I can get myself into Heaven. I know that Jesus died on the cross for my sins, and I am accepting the payment that He made on the cross for me. Please forgive me for my sins and allow me to live with you in Heaven someday. God, I thank you for forgiving me for my sins. Please help me to serve you in my daily life. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
